Ettab, a 21 year old mother of two children who lived in Al- Rahida – Al- Sajeria was on her forth month of pregnancy. Her financial condition was poor. She visited the medical team of Yemen Family Care Association to follow up on her pregnancy. After undergoing some tests, the results showed that Ettab had two miscarriages because Ettab did not take any tetanus vaccinations. She knew nothing about this disease nor did she know the importance of vaccinating against the disease its symptoms, signs and the harms it causes to the pregnant mother. She was urged to visit the health center more frequently to follow up with her pregnancy for fear of another miscarriage because of tetanus. She was then informed of the importance of taking the vaccine. A month later, Ettab came to take the dose of vaccine and she also brought her sister in order to take the dose as well. Ettab did not only keep up with the vaccination dates, she spread the awareness in her community who seemed to absorb the benefits of the vaccine against tetanus.
