Mohammed Abdulla Ibrahim Sheikh, a man in the sixth decade of his life, is an immigrant from Somalia. He came to Yemen twenty-eight years ago.  In 1989 he had a dream of a better life, one that is better than the life he lived in his war-torn country, which he found when he settled in Sana'a. He lived a quiet life for many years, during which he did not feel like a stranger to the land, but as if he was living among his family and within his homeland because of the simplicity of the Yemeni people in dealing with each other and their generosity and affection.
Haj Mohammed Ibrahim came to Yemen alone.

"I do not feel alone, I have no source of income other than the UNHCR which is insufficient. In addition to what one of my daughters sends me from abroad from time to time" stated Haj Mohammed
The elderly man began his suffering with diabetes in the year 2000. As he grew older, this malignant disease caused him many complications, perhaps the worst of them all is gangrene which may cause amputation of the foot.

His biggest fear was the possibility of amputation to stop the spread of gangrene to the rest of his body, which is the painful reality in many similar cases.
By the will of God and the great care provided to him when he arrived at Al Rahbi Medical center in the capital Sana'a, a health center supervised by the Yemen Family Care Association, the medical team referred him urgently to the Republican Hospital in Sana'a to receive appropriate health care.
Haji Mohammed expressed his gratitude once again to the people of the Yemen who received him and did not leave him alone in his ordeal. He also thanked the Medical team who saved his life and his foot from amputation which would have disabled his life.
