Project#4220
Success Story / Mabyan, Hajjah- Health Center in the city center

Living in a remote village and in a rugged area where there is no minimum service is not easy at all. This is confirmed by Mrs. Huda al-Faqih, one of the women of the village of Sahel in Hajjah province, who pointed to the lack of health services in the village.
The twenty-seven-year-old mother and her children come to the health center - supported by the Yemeni Family Care Association, and funded by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in the area of Mabin near her mountain side village - to follow up on her health.
"I was suffering from pain in the joints of my knees and I had a check for my typhoid. Thanks to Dr. Amat Al-Malik and the treatment she prescribed for me improved my condition, thank God.” Stated Huda
“My children and I visit the center sometimes once, sometimes twice, sometimes severe times a month for treatment”
During our conversation with Huda about the services she had received at the center, she boycotted us, pointing out in a low voice to the suffering of many people in the region, especially women and children, from the health point of view, and the difficulty of reaching health centers and hospitals that are very far from them, as a result of their harsh living conditions and difficult mountain terrain and how this health center has changed their lives.
" Poor and helpless people are very happy with this project and with the free treatments, our situation is very difficult and we cannot afford medical care, the hospitals are far away and all the people are poor and they need more treatment," stated Huda.
As we were leaving Huda and her friends from the village prayed for us and for the work of the health center in the region to continue as it is the only center of its kind in an area of more than 70,000 people.
