Darwisha is a sixty years old widow woman who lives alone in a single inhabitable room. She depends mainly on the assistance that she receives from benefactors and charitable organizations to pay the room’s rent and to provide her basic needs.
“I have previous debts to the owner of this room which are accumulated from the last year that I could not pay so far. In the meantime, I don’t have family or relatives to support me with my minimum basic needs.” She said with tears in her eyes.
Through the fund of YHF, Darwidha has been targeted by Yemen Family care Association intervention of providing cash assistance “rental subsidies” to the most vulnerable displaced families renting in the city of Marib. This intervention is meant to help the displaced families to pay the rent of the shelter in which they reside. The delivered assistance is represented by transferring 100 USD for a period of six months - starting from January 2022 and ending in June 2022 through local exchange companies or the Reconstruction and Development Bank in Marib governorate.
“I couldn’t be more grateful! This support made me feel safe and stable” Darwisha Mentioned
