Ali Saleh Mohsen Bhaybah is a 90 years old and paralyzed man, who rents an apartment in the airport neighborhood. On top of his own family, Ali is hosting two more families, the family of his son and the family of his grandson, where the number of the apartment residents is 25 members. The apartment was rented for 350 thousand Yemeni Riyal per month. Ali has no source of income, so he depends on his son and grandson, who confirmed that they have a source of income, but it is not fixed.
 
” I’m working as a labour day and night to afford the rental cost and our basic needs such as food and medicines for the elders and kids. “ Saqr said. Saqr, who is Ali’s grandson, stated that since October 2021, they have spent a lot of their savings and even borrowed large sums of money in order to pay for the monthly rent to the landlord.
 
Saqr mentioned, "Over the past six months, YFCA has helped us to cover part of the apartment’s rental costs. As a matter of fact, neither I nor my father have been able to save the rental costs of this apartment”. “Due to the help of YFCA in covering part of the rental costs, we can continue to live in this apartment and we have been able to provide my grandmother and grandfather with medicines, diapers, and many other basic needs.” He added gratefully.
