YFCA headquarters and Sana’a centre was established in 1976 which is the first reproductive health in Yemen.

The quality services provided by YFCA qualified it to obtain a high ranking in the evaluation of The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) in 2006. YFCA obtained the percentage 99% amongst competition between 14 countries from Middle East.

The support of international donors and governmental offices enables YFCA to deliver quality services for the targeted beneficiaries.  

In the health centre of Sana’a there are 6 female gynecologist, 8 midwives, 4 administrative staff, in addition to couple of supported services staff and janitors

• Pre-natal care
• Gynecology clinic
• Counseling and Family planning (FP) services
• IUDs insertion and removal
• Treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, including counseling and voluntary testing for AIDS
• Treatment of children under 5
• Pregnant women and children immunization
• Medical and laboratory examinations, and ultrasound services
• Conduct training for the healthcare providers
• Conduct health awareness campaigns for men, women and youth
• Early detection of cervical cancer (Pap smear)
