YFCA Aden centre was inaugurated in 1983 in Dar Sa’ad district, this district was selected as it is one of the neediest districts in Aden which the majority of its population are poor and on low cash income. YFCA continues providing this district with the health services despite the limited budget. The centre undertakes awareness and education sessions, and disseminating bulletins and brochures. A representative from the centre was selected as a member for the National Safe Motherhood Alliance (NSMA), this representative member represents all Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) working in Aden. NSMA’s board include members from MoHP office, MoSLA office, Local Council, in addition to the YFCA Aden. The YFCA centre manager was selected as the financial specialist for NSMA.
Services provided by the center
- Care for pregnant women.
- Gynecology clinic.
- Counseling services and family planning
- Clinic to install and remove IUDs.
- Treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, including voluntary counseling and testing for AIDS.
- Treatment of children under the age of five.
- Immunization of pregnant women and children.
- Medical examinations and laboratory ultrasound detected.
- Training of health cadres
- Education and awareness for all men, women and youth.
