Ibb is considered as one the most rapid population growth and high population density city in Yemen, so YFCA intervention in Ibb city is crucial to tackle the overpopulation issue.

YFCA inaugurated its centre in Ibb in 1998 as national response to achieve the goals of the population policies in Yemen. YFCA is a national strategic partner with the National Population Council (NPC). YFCA was one of the partners who set up the population planning with NPC since 1990. 

YFCA is working in full swing to acquire new funds from donors to support its population and health programs so that those programs can be expanded to all cities of the republic of Yemen.

YFCA centre in Ibb achieved in a record time its programmatic and services goals, this success can be referred to the cooperation between YFCA and the respective government offices in Ibb.

Services provided by the center

    Care for pregnant women.
    Gynecology clinic.
    Counseling services and family planning
    Clinic to install and remove IUDs.
    Treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, including voluntary counseling and testing for AIDS.
    Treatment of children under the age of five.
    Immunization of pregnant women and children.
    Medical examinations and laboratory ultrasound detected.
    Training of health cadres
    Education and awareness for all men, women and youth.
