YFCA Hodeida centre was inaugurated in the beginning of 1993; the centre provides the family planning and reproductive health services in the districts of Hodeida, in addition to awareness sessions about the population issues, counseling and voluntary testing for AIDS.

The YFCA Hodeida centre aims to:

Contribute to provide the routine immunization services for mothers and children
Lobbying for the recognition of health rights for child and mother and for reproductive health
Contribute to the reduction of HIV cases and ensure the rights of affected persons and people living with them
Enhance the access to the quality reproductive health services through counseling and mobile clinics that provide the health services of prenatal and postnatal services for mothers and children
Raise awareness about the sexually transmitted diseases through the integrated reproductive health programs
Join forces with other INGOs and public authorities to develop and implement the programs of improving health awareness, balanced nutrition and early childhood care and development.

Services provided by the center

•      Care for pregnant women.
•      Gynecology clinic.
•      Counseling services and family planning
•     Clinic to install and remove IUDs.
•      Treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, including voluntary counseling and testing for AIDS.
•      Treatment of children under the age of five.
•      Immunization of pregnant women and children.
•       Medical examinations and laboratory ultrasound detected.
•     Training of health cadres
•     Education and awareness for all men, women and youth.
