Access to safe water is an absolute necessity for everyone around the world, especially in Yemen, and taking on the issue of ensuring access to safe water requires worldwide effort.
Therefore, Yemen Family Care Association (YFCA) has repaired and maintained Lahmar water network in Bayhan district of Shabwah Governorate, and the beneficiaries of this intervention are around 1600 individuals.
This activity was conducted within the project of WASH and humanitarian food assistance for IDPs, host communities, returnees and marginalized groups in six districts of Shabwah Governorate-Yemen, which is funded by German Humanitarian Assistance (AA) in partnership with Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe (DKH).
This activity is aimed to:
- Developing access to safe and sustainable drinking water for the people in the targeted district.
- Effective contribution to reduce the spread of water-related epidemics and diseases.
