Within the General Food Assistance (GFA) project, YFCA in partnership with WFP provided food assistance to the most food-insecure households in Taiz governorate. The targeted population was provided with in-kind rations of flour, pulses and oil.
In October 2022, and within the fifth round of distribution, YFCA reached around 24,108 households of nearly 168,756 individuals with food baskets. The distribution took place in the following locations:
 Alshamayateen, Saber Al-Mawadem, Maqbanah, Mashra'a Wa hadnan, Almakha districts, of Taiz governorate.
Such assistance aims to reduce the number of those who are in a dire need of food as well as prevent the increment in the ratio of those facing famine-like and emergency conditions.
