Yemen Family Care Association (YFCA) had completely accomplished the intervention of rehabilitating the buildings and gender-sensitive WASH facilities of Arwa and 14 October schools in Al-Ataq district of Shabwah Governorate. Furthermore, and as a final phase to achieve the main target of ensuring access to a safe and inclusive learning environment, YFCA provided the schools with school furniture and equipment, including desks, chairs and boards. Out of this intervention, around 2662 school-aged girls and boys were prevented from the risk of violence and felt safe and supported in their pursuit of knowledge.
