As YFCA grows and expands its programming geographical and technical scope, it faces challenges of matching this expansion with solid and responsive internal governing systems.

In 2011, YFCA worked on internal changes that could make its governance and work more effective and more responsive to the dynamics of its context.

Based on internal analysis, YFCA staff discussed and decided on changing the organizational structure to  include  new Programming Advocacy and Emergency sectors for smoother programming processes.

In 2012, an internal decision was taken to grant the Specialized Hospital with financial autonomy, to sustain its success.

YFCA worked hard on development of comprehensive guidelines for programming, advocacy, media, training, human resource management, and public relations. A programming package was developed to assist YFCA program staff meet quality measured during planning and implementation of projects. On the same note, Technical assistance was obtained to develop a quality assurance system for the specialized hospital to improve quality of services.

To enhance further transparent processes, YFCA established the commodity security committee to oversee all procurement processes. In addition, an inventory system was developed and enforced to be used in all YFCA facilities.

In 2012, YFCA inaugurated its training hall for internal program use and for income generation as a policy of financial sustainability.

Looking forward, YFCA staff used technical assistance to develop its program strategy for the period 2013-2015 in end of 2012.
