YFCA conducted a two-day Financial Services Workshop for Connecting Beneficiaries with Funding Sources in Al-Dhale'e City District on 24–25 June 2026 under the Building Sustainable Livelihoods (BSL) Project, funded by CRS. The workshop aimed to improve beneficiaries' access to financial services and strengthen their opportunities to obtain funding for their livelihood activities.
The workshop brought together 140 beneficiaries and representatives from partner financial institutions, providing a platform for participants to learn about available financial products, financing requirements, and application procedures. To ensure inclusive participation, the first day was dedicated to women beneficiaries and the second day to men.
As part of the workshop, bank accounts were opened for all participating beneficiaries to facilitate their access to formal financial services and future financing opportunities. Participants also received practical guidance on financial literacy, business planning, and responsible financial management to support the sustainability of their income-generating activities.
Implemented in collaboration with community committees, the workshop targeted beneficiaries working in sectors such as tailoring, electrical and solar energy installations, grocery retail, motorcycle maintenance, livestock production, and beekeeping. The initiative contributes to strengthening financial inclusion, promoting self-reliance, and enhancing sustainable livelihoods for vulnerable communities in Al-Dhale'e.
