Yemen Family Care Association (YFCA), with funding from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), has launched the Emergency Water and Sanitation Response Project for Internally Displaced Persons in Tuban and Al-Musaymir districts of Lahj Governorate.
Implemented by YFCA over three months, the project targets 309 newly displaced households, aiming to improve their access to safe water and ease the burden of meeting their daily needs.
Project activities include providing 32,445 litres of safe drinking water daily, establishing and equipping 16 distribution points with tanks and supporting bases, and distributing 618 water transport and storage containers.
The interventions cover Beer Omar camp and Jahis Farm camp in Tuban district, and Sha’tha Ahama camp in Al-Musaymir district, responding to the essential needs of displaced families at these sites.
The project forms part of Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian support through KSrelief, in cooperation with YFCA as a local implementing partner delivering assistance to the targeted families.
