Tuesday, 30 June, 2026

YFCA implemented an integrated protection intervention reaching 480 displaced and vulnerable individuals in Al-Azariq District, Ad Dali' Governorate, during June 2026 under the Provision of Life-Saving Assistance in Protection Sector for Displaced and Vulnerable Populations project, funded by Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF). The intervention aimed to strengthen access to essential protection services while promoting the safety, dignity, and well-being of the targeted communities.
As part of the intervention, YFCA provided cash-for-protection assistance to 91 vulnerable individuals, with each beneficiary receiving USD 225 following comprehensive case management assessments to ensure assistance was directed to those most in need.
YFCA also conducted 20 protection awareness sessions through Community-Based Protection Network (CBPN) volunteers across three targeted villages. The sessions reached 357 community members with key messages on protection, available services, and referral pathways, helping participants increase their awareness of protection issues and access available support.
In addition, YFCA delivered 32 individualized psychosocial support (PSS) sessions to individuals requiring specialized assistance. The sessions promoted psychosocial well-being, strengthened coping skills, and contributed to improved emotional resilience.
Through this integrated intervention, YFCA continues to enhance access to quality protection services and strengthen community resilience by supporting vulnerable women, men, girls, and boys with timely, inclusive, and dignified assistance
