YFCA launched a three-day training course on Selection, Planning, and Management of Small Businesses (SPM) for 174 participants across Al-Dhale’e and Shabwah Governorates, under the Building Resilience through Integrated Community-Based and Humanitarian Systems Transformation and Leadership in Yemen (BRIGHTLY) Project, funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).
Implemented as part of the Income-Generating Activities (IGA) component, the training aims to strengthen participants’ knowledge and practical skills in identifying, planning, and managing suitable small business opportunities. The programme is designed to support sustainable livelihoods, enhance income prospects, and promote economic resilience within targeted communities.
The training is delivered in Al-Dhale’e Governorate and Shabwah Governorate, equipping participants with practical guidance on business selection, basic planning, market assessment, and effective management of small enterprises—tools that will support their future income-generating activities.
The training is benefiting a total of 174 participants, including 95 participants from Al-Dhale’e Governorate and 79 participants from Shabwah Governorate. The initiative also prepares them for the next phase of IGA support, including Business Skills Training, which will further strengthen their entrepreneurial capacities and improve their ability to establish and manage sustainable income-generating activities.
Through this intervention, YFCA continues to support vulnerable communities by promoting self-reliance, strengthening livelihood opportunities, and contributing to economic recovery through sustainable small business development.
