YFCA continued implementing an eight-day Business Skills training course for 174 participants as the second phase, following the first phase on Selection, Planning, and Management of Small Businesses (SPM), under the Building Resilience through Integrated Community-Based and Humanitarian Systems Transformation and Leadership in Yemen (BRIGHTLY) project, funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).
The training, which commenced on 9 July 2026, equips participants with the practical knowledge and skills needed to establish, manage, and sustain small businesses. The programme focuses on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, business planning, and sound business management practices, enabling participants to develop viable income-generating activities and improve their economic prospects.
A total of 174 participants are benefiting from the training, including 95 participants from Al-Dhale’e Governorate and 79 participants from Shabwah Governorate.
Through this intervention, YFCA aims to enhance economic resilience, promote self-reliance, and expand sustainable livelihood opportunities for youth and women in the targeted communities. The training forms part of YFCA's broader efforts to support long-term recovery and empower vulnerable households to build more secure and sustainable futures with the generous support of FCDO.
