YFCA launched the Cash-for-Work activity for the fourth consecutive year in Saada Governorate under the Building Resilience through Integrated Community-Based and Humanitarian Systems Transformation and Leadership in Yemen (BRIGHTLY) project, funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).
The activity provides short-term employment opportunities for vulnerable and unskilled workers while supporting the rehabilitation of community assets and strengthening community resilience through community-driven interventions.
A total of 141 beneficiaries are participating in the activity, which will be implemented over four months in roads paving. Through temporary employment opportunities, participants will earn an income while contributing to initiatives that improve community infrastructure and promote local development.
The Cash-for-Work activity forms part of YFCA's continued efforts to strengthen livelihoods, enhance economic resilience, and support vulnerable communities by creating employment opportunities that foster self-reliance and sustainable recovery, with the generous support of FCDO.
