YFCA launched a community awareness campaign in Tarim District, Hadramout Governorate, to promote the importance of childhood vaccination and encourage families to complete their children's immunization schedules. The campaign was implemented as part of the Leaving No Child Behind project.
In partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and funded by Gavi, the campaign aims to increase community awareness about the life-saving benefits of vaccination, improve vaccine acceptance, and contribute to reaching children who have missed routine immunization services.
The awareness campaign featured a range of engaging activities for children and caregivers, including educational sessions, chants, theatrical performances, awareness messages, and entertainment activities. These activities delivered key health messages on the importance of vaccination in protecting children from vaccine-preventable diseases while encouraging parents to ensure their children receive all recommended vaccines.
Through this initiative, YFCA continues its commitment to supporting healthier communities by promoting preventive healthcare, strengthening community engagement, and improving vaccination coverage among vulnerable children in Hadramout Governorate.
