Yemen Family Care Association (YFCA) hosts a meeting between Oxfam Country Director Mr. Shane Stevenson and the Director of Human Response Mr. Nigel Timmins with representatives of the Local Civil Society Organizations working in Sana'a and a number of governorates. The meeting was devoted to discuss the activities and interventions carried out by these organizations to address the cholera epidemic in the governorates and the challenges they face. As well as discuss the possibility of cooperation and partnership with OXFAM to respond to this epidemic.
Representatives of Civil Society Organizations who presented the activities of their Organizations and various areas they have covered in response to the cholera epidemic were also discussed at the meeting. The challenges faced by the organizations were reviewed, including the lack of prompt response by specialists and supporters, and lack of capacity amongst medical staff.
