YFCA coordinated a follow up meeting hosted by OXFAM following to the previous meeting hosted at YFCA’s headquarters on Tuesday, July 18 –in Sana’a to discuss the cholera response with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). The aim of the meeting was to identify key funding opportunities and develop a collective national NGO advocacy response to the recent deadly Cholera outbreak in Yemen. A brief update was given by YFCA and the CSOs on what is being done regarding cholera response.
Participants spoke about the challenges that are faced during interventions. Discussions and ideas were shared about national campaign approaches. Action points were defined, at the wrap-up part of the meeting, for a quick intervention including the release of a unified statement from NNGOs containing the most important video/communiques messages to prevent cholera.
