YFCA Completes repair and rehabilitation for Wasit well in Markha Al-Sufla - Shabwah Gov. to provide clean drinking water

Access to safe water is an absolute necessity for everyone around the world especially in Yemen, and taking on the issue of ensuring access to safe water requires worldwide effort.

Therefore,  Yemen Family Care Association (YFCA) has repaired and rehabilitated the Wasit well in Markha Al-Sufla district of Shabwah Governorate by providing and Installing a solar system as well as covering roundly the area of the well and treating water quality by using a chlorine injection device ot ensure that the beneficaries have safe access to clean water, and the number of beneficiaries from this well is about 7000 beneficiary

and that within the project of WASH and humanitarian food assistance for IDPs, host communities, returnees and marginalized groups in six districts of Shabwah Governorate-Yemen, which is funded by German Foreign Ministry (AA) in partnership with Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe (DKH) (German Humanitarian Assistance Organization).

This activity is aimed to:
- Developing access to safe and sustainable drinking water for the people in the targeted district.
- Effective contribution to reducing the spread of water-related epidemics and diseases.
