YFCA team held a meeting with a team from the OCHA office in Saada and Al-Jawf axis at YFCA office in Saada governorate. The OCHA team, represented by Ali, the Office Manager of OCHA in Saada and Al-Jawf Axis, and Hilal Al-Jaouri, the Field Coordinator of OCHA in Saada and Al-Jawf, engaged in meeting .
YFCA’s team in Sadaa’s governorate gave a brief overview of YFCA projects and interventions in Sadaa governorate, which include water and sanitation, shelter, and health. The team also highlighted the achievements and challenges of YFCA in delivering humanitarian assistance to the most vulnerable people in Sadaa governorate.
During the meeting, Mr. Hilal the Field Coordinator of OCHA in Saada and Al-Jawf addressed the urgent situation at Bart Al-Anan Hospital and inquired about the possibility of YFCA intervening in this field to fill the gap by meeting the pressing demand of providing health services to the local population.
The OCHA team affirmed its support for YFCA in implementing development projects in the governorate, especially in the border districts that suffer from the effects of the conflict. In return, YFCA team expressed their aspirations to expand their activities to remote areas that meet the criteria of donors and authorities and confirmed its readiness to cooperate with OCHA and other partners in improving the situation of the targeted communities.
The meeting concluded with a sense of mutual understanding and a commitment to collaboration between OCHA and YFCA to address the humanitarian needs in Saada and work towards sustainable solutions for the affected communities. Both teams expressed their gratitude for the fruitful discussion and agreed to continue their coordination efforts to alleviate the suffering of vulnerable populations in the region.
