YFCA, supported by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF), has successfully completed the distribution of essential hygiene kits in a significant effort to address the urgent needs of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and vulnerable groups in Al Azariq district of Dhale'e governorate.  This activity, which forms part of YFCA's integrated approach to providing crucial health, FSL, and WASH services, aims to improve the well-being and living conditions of those affected by ongoing challenges in the region.
The basic hygiene kits (BHKs) distributed by YFCA contained essential items to promote cleanliness and sanitation. Each BHK consisted of 2 kilograms of washing powder, 10 bars of hand soap, 6 packs of sanitary pads, a plastic basin, and two jerry cans, one with a capacity of 20 liters and the other with a capacity of 10 liters. These items are crucial for maintaining personal hygiene, particularly in challenging living conditions where access to clean water and sanitation facilities may be limited.
The distribution campaign involved the provision of 200 basic hygiene kits and 200 consumer hygiene kits to targeted beneficiaries residing in the Azariq district. The recipients of these kits primarily included children under the age of five, pregnant or lactating women suffering from malnutrition, and other vulnerable individuals within the specified areas. By supporting these marginalized groups, YFCA aims to alleviate their hardships and contribute to their overall health and hygiene. Additionally, consumer hygiene kits were also distributed, providing recipients with necessary hygiene supplies. Each consumer hygiene kit contained 2 kilograms of washing powder, 10 bars of hand soap, and 6 packs of sanitary pads. These items are essential for promoting cleanliness and well-being and ensuring that individuals have the means to maintain their personal hygiene effectively.
The successful completion of this distribution highlights the dedication and commitment of YFCA to addressing the pressing needs of vulnerable communities in Al Azariq district. Through the generous support of the Yemen Humanitarian Fund, YFCA has been able to reach those most in need, offering vital assistance and empowering individuals to lead healthier lives.
