YFCA and WFP organized a training program for 54 health workers in Dhalea, Lahj, and Hadhramout to enhance their understanding of gender concepts and mainstreaming in healthcare. The training covered topics such as gender analysis, protection principles, and providing therapeutic services with a gender perspective.
The training aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of health workers regarding gender issues, enabling them to provide more effective and equitable services to the community. The training also aimed to empower health workers to integrate gender considerations into their daily practices and contribute to the overall improvement of health outcomes and well-being.
The training was part of a joint effort by YFCA and WFP to promote gender equality and inclusivity in healthcare, especially for those affected by malnutrition and related health issues. The training reached underserved areas and reflected the commitment of YFCA and WFP to creating sustainable change in the healthcare system in Yemen.
