Wednesday, 04 October, 2023

In a proactive effort to address the ongoing hunger crisis and promote access to clean water, YFCA conducted a comprehensive training program for 12 community committee members in wells management and maintenance from  Al-Rawdah and Bayhan districts in Shabwa governorate.

The training covered a wide range of topics, providing participants with a solid foundation in effective well management. Committee members gained insights into the importance of wells for human health and well-being, as well as an understanding of the different types of wells and their components.

With a focus on operational safety and efficiency, the training session delved into practical aspects such as operating and maintaining wells, identifying and repairing minor malfunctions, and developing and implementing well-maintenance plans. Emphasizing the importance of community involvement, committee members also learned strategies to engage and mobilize the local community in well management and maintenance efforts.

As Yemen continues to grapple with the hunger crisis, initiatives like these serve as beacons of hope, showcasing the power of community-driven solutions and the transformative impact they can have on the lives of those in need.
