YFCA Empowers Farmers with Cash Assistance for Sustainable Livelihoods
Thursday, 02 November, 2023

YFCA, funded by Muslim AidUK and UMCOR, successfully implemented the first round of the Cash Plus activity in Haridah district, Hadhramaut governorate. The initiative aims to support farmers by providing cash assistance of 135,500 YER to each of the 25 targeted farmers. This funding helps cover their basic needs during the crop cycle, promoting resilience and food security for themselves and their families.

This activity is part of the project “Provision of humanitarian assistance through integrated WASH and FSL support for the acutely vulnerable IDPs and host communities at Haridah and Rakhyah districts of Hadhramaut Governorate”, which aims to enhance resilience in the current crisis.

Through the Cash Plus activity, farmers received “Sorghum & Cowpea Seeds” and sets of agricultural tools, which will help them utilize in their fields. This support encourages investment in crop farming, enabling a sustainable source of income.

YFCA works to improve access to food sources for the targeted beneficiaries by providing integrated Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) interventions
