YFCA completed the rehabilitation of three community wells in the Azariq District of Al dhale Governorate. The project, funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF), aimed to enhance water accessibility and safeguard the wells in the region.
The three wells—namely al-Madiq, al-Si’ah, and Huwaynit—provide a secure source of drinking water for a total of 3,052 beneficiaries while also protecting the wells from pollution. The comprehensive measures undertaken include the construction of three stone tanks with an impressive capacity of 18 cubic meters each. Additionally, the project involved the establishment of a solar energy system, safeguarding the wells by constructing a protective barrier around each well, elevated 1.5 meters above the ground.
Furthermore, the implementation encompassed the establishment of a water distribution point, allowing beneficiaries to conveniently access and fill water.
The local community, authorities, and stakeholders have expressed their gratitude to the YFCA for spearheading this initiative. This accomplishment stands as a testament to the positive impact that strategic partnerships and community-focused initiatives can have on essential infrastructure development.
