YFCA, funded by YHF, distributed water disinfecting agents (water Chlorine tabs) , specifically water chlorine tablets, to affected individuals in Damt and Juban districts, Aldhale’e Gov.
The distribution was carried out by 20 community hygiene volunteers, comprising an equal number of males and females. These volunteers were nominated by the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation in Damt District and were tasked with educating people on hygiene promotion, including the proper use of water chlorine tablets.
Approximately 10,083 individuals have benefited from this initiative. They have learned how to ensure the cleanliness of water, store water safely in their homes, and prevent waterborne infectious diseases such as cholera.
This initiative underscores YFCA’s commitment to improving public health and hygiene in the region and highlights the importance of community participation and education in effecting positive change.
