In a collaborative effort with the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund, YFCA, funded by the German Federal Foreign Office (AA) in partnership with the Diakonie-Katastrophenhilfe (DKH), launched a comprehensive cleanliness campaign in Ad Dali’ Governorate. The initiative, implemented is part of the Multi-sectoral Emergency Response to support IDPs and other vulnerable groups in Ad Dali’ and Shabwah Governorates. The campaign will run for six months.
The comprehensive cleanliness campaign focuses on targeting the districts of Ad Dali’ and Ash Shu'ayb, with the primary objective of raising community awareness about the importance of cleanliness. Through the mobilization of 50 dedicated cleaning workers, the initiative aims to prevent environmental disasters caused by waste accumulation in public and densely populated areas. Furthermore, the campaign seeks to maintain public cleanliness, protect the environment from pollution, and discourage random waste disposal practices. By doing so, the campaign expects to have a significant impact on the community, enhancing the environmental landscape, reducing unpleasant odors, and curbing the spread of diseases.
This comprehensive cleanliness campaign aligns with the ongoing efforts to enhance public cleanliness standards in Ad Dali' governorate and promotes community awareness regarding the crucial role cleanliness plays in preserving public health and the environment. By fostering a culture of cleanliness, the campaign aspires to create lasting behavior change and cultivate a cleaner and healthier living environment for all.
