Friday, 02 February, 2024

YFCA held an internal kick-off meeting to initiate the "Enhance Water Resource Management in IDP Communities" project, supported by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) as the main donor and the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KFW).  The meeting served as a crucial platform to introduce the project team, provide an overview of the project's goals and objectives, and discuss the project plan and timeline.  During the meeting, attendees actively participated, displaying their commitment to collaboration and going the extra mile to meet the project's demands. The discussions centered around ensuring a clear understanding of the project's scope, deliverables, and expected outcomes. This initial meeting laid the foundation for effective communication, coordination, and cooperation among the project team members. The "EWRM" project will focus on improving water resource management in several governorates across Yemen. These include Marib Alwadi and Marib City in Marib, Hamdan, Sanhan, Banibahlool, Bani Matar, and Arhab in Sana'a, Sharaab Al-Rawnah, Hayfan, Maqbanah, and At-Ta'ezyah in North Taiz, and Al-Nadirah, Al-Qafr, Hazm Al Odayn, and Ba'dan in Ibb. By addressing WASH challenges, the project aims to enhance living conditions and provide better access to clean water and sanitation facilities for IDPs and local communities. YFCA remains committed to implementing the project diligently, utilizing its expertise and resources to achieve the project's objectives within the defined timeline. The successful kick-off meeting marked the beginning of a collaborative and productive journey that holds the promise of positive change in the lives of vulnerable communities.
