YFCA distributed winterization support to 100 displaced families living in Kadash Camp, in Al-Modhafar district of Taiz Governorate. The distribution took place as part of the project Provision of Durable Solutions Through a Comprehensive Shelter and Education Interventions in Taiz Governorate, funded by Conrad N. Hilton Foundation.
The beneficiaries received vouchers worth $80 each, which they used to purchase blankets and winter clothing from selected local shops. The vouchers enabled the families to choose the items that best suited their needs and preferences while protecting them from the cold weather. The vouchers also helped to boost the local economy by supporting small businesses and traders. YFCA's winterization support is one of the many interventions that YFCA is implementing in Taiz and other governorates across Yemen. YFCA aims to provide comprehensive assistance to the most vulnerable and marginalized groups, especially women, children, and people with disabilities. YFCA also promotes peace, social cohesion, and resilience among the affected communities. YFCA's tireless dedication to providing durable solutions, shelter, and education interventions underscores their commitment to making a positive impact in Yemen. With the support of the Conrad Hilton Foundation, YFCA continues to work towards alleviating the challenges faced by communities affected by the ongoing crisis.
