YFCA Distributes First Round of UCT in Ad Dali’ and Shabwah Governorates

YFCA provided the first round of cash assistance to 378 vulnerable HHs in Mayfa’ah and Ar Rawdah districts of Shabwah governorate and  155 HHs Ad Dali’ district in Ad Dali’ governorate, as part of the activities of the project  “Multi-Sectoral Emergency Response To Support Idps And Other Vulnerable Groups In Ad Dali’ And Shabwah Governorate funded by German Federal Foreign Office (AA), in partnership with the Diakonie-Katastrophenhilfe (DKH). The cash assistance, which amounted to 135,500 Yemeni rials per household, was delivered through Focal Service Provider (FSP) distribution points in coordination with local authorities and Community Committees (CCs). The UCT activity aims to ensure that households in targeted communities are better able to meet their basic food needs through cash assistance, and that food assistance to the most vulnerable is leveraged to promote early action response and resilience and is properly integrated with livelihood activities. It also aims to help the most vulnerable groups in bridging the gap in their food security situation increase their access to essential food and improve the food consumption scores of the targeted household members. The cash assistance provided by YFCA is a vital lifeline for vulnerable households. The assistance will help to improve food security and resilience in the targeted communities.
