In response to the escalating cholera outbreak, YFCA conducted a pivotal cholera awareness campaign at Al-Fath School in the Ma’rib Al-Wadi District, Ma’rib Governorate. This crucial campaign is a key component of the “Provision of Integrated Life-Saving Health, Nutrition, WASH Interventions” project, aimed at supporting the most vulnerable communities, including those in areas prone to cholera outbreaks. The initiative is funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF).

The campaign made significant strides in reaching out to the community, specifically targeting 939 students at Al-Fath School. Through engaging sessions and informative educational materials, the students were informed about cholera prevention methods and the significance of adhering to proper hygiene practices.

This concerted effort by YFCA underscores their unwavering commitment to curbing the spread of cholera in the region and promoting the health and welfare of its community members. By enhancing awareness and empowering individuals with preventative knowledge, YFCA endeavors to minimize the consequences of this illness and ensure the health security of Yemen’s populace.
