YFCA Launches Workshop to Bolster Water Resource Management in Marib
Wednesday, 29 May, 2024

In a significant move to enhance water resource management, YFCA initiated a consultative workshop under the project “Enhance Water Resource Management in IDP Communities in the Marib City district of Marib Governorate” funded by IOM. The workshop aims to collaborate closely with local water management committees to identify their needs and bolster their ability to manage water resources effectively.

The event saw the participation of key stakeholders and local authorities, including the head of YFCA branch in Marib, representatives from the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and the director of the Al-Wadi district. Discussions centered on pinpointing the challenges faced by water management committees and exploring avenues for their development and improved administration of water resources.

This consultative approach is proving to be a cornerstone of the project, enabling the provision of targeted interventions that address the critical issues identified by the water management committees in internally displaced communities. YFCA committed to ongoing collaboration with these committees and other relevant partners to ensure sustainable water resource management in the region.

The initiative is a testament to the collective efforts in addressing the pressing water resource challenges and underscores the importance of community engagement in achieving long-term sustainability in water management.
