YFCA  Launches Comprehensive Cleanliness Campaign in Ad Dali’ Governorate

In a significant effort to address environmental challenges and promote community well-being, YFCA partnered with the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund to launch the comprehensive cleanliness campaign for two months in a row ( April - May)  in Ad Dali’ Governorate. Funded by the German Federal Foreign Office (AA) and in partnership with the Diakonie-Katastrophenhilfe (DKH) organization, this initiative aimed to make a positive impact on local cleanliness and environmental health.
Key Highlights of the Campaign:
1.    Targeted Districts: The campaign focused on the districts of Ad Dali’ and Ash Shu’ayb within Ad Dali’ Governorate. By concentrating efforts in these areas, the campaign aims to improve overall cleanliness and hygiene.
2.    Community Awareness: A core objective of the campaign was to raise awareness about cleanliness. Community members were educated about responsible waste disposal and the importance of maintaining a clean environment. The goal was to prevent environmental disasters caused by waste accumulation in public spaces.
3.    Health Benefits: The campaign directly contributed to public health. By reducing bad odors and preventing the spread of diseases associated with environmental pollution, it enhanced the overall well-being of residents.
4.    Environmental Protection: Through waste removal and proper disposal, the campaign protected the environment from pollution. It emphasized the preservation of natural resources and ensuring a sustainable ecosystem.
5.    Quantifiable Impact:  The campaign achieved significant results. Cleaners and small trucks removed 108 cubic meters (M3) of waste in the Ad Dali’ district and 36 M3 in the Ash Shu’ayb district. These tangible outcomes demonstrate the campaign’s effectiveness.
The launch of this campaign reflects ongoing efforts to elevate public cleanliness standards in Ad Dali’ Governorate. It underscores the vital role of cleanliness in preserving both the environment and public health.
