In a concerted effort to bolster public health, YFCA delivered essential medical supplies to health facilities in two districts in Ad Dali’ governorate .This initiative was part of the Multi-sectoral Emergency Response project aimed at supporting IDPs and other vulnerable groups in the region. The project, funded by the German Federal Foreign Office (AA) and in partnership with Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe (DKH), focused on improving access to lifesaving health services in line with the Yemen Minimum Service Package (MSP).
In the month of May 2024, the Alshuhadaa Althaltha Health Facility in Ash Shu’ayb district and the Maternity and Childcare Health Center in Al Azariq district became centers of hope and care. YFCA, with support from its partners, equipped these facilities with medical supplies, including essential medicines, PPE kits, and medical equipment for cleaning and disinfection. The health services provided encompassed the MSP, offering basic and emergency healthcare, childcare, vaccinations, management of diseases, early diagnosis, and comprehensive prenatal and postnatal care.
The targeted health centers successfully served 4,388 beneficiaries, reflecting the significant impact of YFCA’s efforts. Through this project, YFCA  played a pivotal role in enhancing the resilience and well-being of communities in the Ad Dali’ and Shabwah Governorates, steering them towards a safer and healthier future.
