YFCA conducted 60 awareness sessions on protection across five districts within the Shabwah and Ad Dali’ Governorates. This activity is part of Multi-sectoral Emergency Response project aimed at supporting IDPs and other vulnerable groups in the Ad Dali’ and Shabwah Governorates. The project receives funding from the German Federal Foreign Office (AA) in partnership with Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe (DKH).
15 community protection volunteers, comprising 5 males and 10 females, engaged with local communities to educate them on critical protection issues. The sessions covered a range of topics crucial for safeguarding individuals and their families, including:
• The necessity of legal documentation
• The risks associated with early marriage
• Recognizing and addressing addiction
• Peaceful coexistence
• Adapting to conflicts and disputes
These sessions reached a total of 701 individuals , including women, men, boys, and girls from various backgrounds such as internally displaced persons (IDPs), marginalized groups, and host communities.
Through these educational endeavors, YFCA continues to play a pivotal role in enhancing the resilience and well-being of communities in Yemen, steering them towards a safer and healthier future.
