Shabwah – September 2024
YFCA, in coordination with the General Authority for Rural Water Projects (GARWSP), has provided operational support to two water supply systems in Shabwah Governorate. The Nataq water supply system in Ar Rawdah district and the Souk Gul Al-Raida water supply system in Mayfa’ah district have received a total of 4,000 liters of fuel for September 2024.
This initiative aims to benefit 4,650 individuals, ensuring they have reliable access to safe drinking water. It is part of the broader Multi-sectoral Emergency Response project, which supports internally displaced persons (IDPs) and other vulnerable groups in Ad Dali’ and Shabwah Governorates. The project is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office (AA) in partnership with Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe (DKH).
By enhancing water supply systems, YFCA continues to play a crucial role in safeguarding public health and improving living conditions for Yemen’s most vulnerable communities.
