An initiative to enhance national and local leadership in responding to climate change was launched by YFCA in partnership with Nahda Makers Organization and Building Foundation for Development—Aden and funded by Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe (DKH).

- Ministry of Water and Environment, including the Climate Change Unit and the Environmental Protection Authority.
- Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Fisheries
- Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor
- Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation
These sessions concluded with a two-day workshop on Wednesday and Thursday, November 6-7, 2024, attended by the General Director of YFCA, and with the participation of the five ministries at both the ministerial level and their offices in the governorates of Aden, Lahij, and Abyan, in addition to the Ministry of Local Administration in Aden. The agreed-upon work plan was discussed during the workshop as a first step to enhance national and local leadership in responding to climate change.A number of local and international organizations also participated in this workshop.
