YFCA completed a training course on beekeeping and honey production, benefiting 11 participants from the Mayfa’a District in Shabwah Governorate. This initiative is part of "Building Resilience in Yemen through Integrated Community-Led Humanitarian Systems (BRIGHTLY)" project, generously funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).
The training, titled "Good Agricultural Practices for Beekeeping and Honey Production," aimed to equip participants with essential knowledge and skills to enhance honey production and improve their incomes through sustainable agricultural methods. By focusing on good agricultural practices, the course provided practical and theoretical insights into beekeeping, ensuring that participants are well-prepared to implement these techniques in their communities.
This initiative underscores YFCA’s commitment to empowering local communities and strengthening their resilience against economic and environmental challenges. The support from FCDO has been instrumental in enabling YFCA to deliver this impactful training, which is expected to have long-term benefits for the participants and their communities.
YFCA continues to work towards building resilient communities in Yemen, with a focus on sustainable development and community-led initiatives. The success of this training course is a testament to the positive impact that targeted, well-supported programs can have on local populations.
