YFCA conducted practical training for beneficiaries in Al-Shuaib District, Al-Dhalea Governorate As part of BRIGHTLY project funded by FCDO. This training focused on good agricultural practices and modern vegetable cultivation techniques.
On the fourth day of the training, participants distinguished themselves by decorating the demonstration field with a drip irrigation network at the Najood Center in Al-Shaib District. They applied what they had learned in the training to real-life scenarios, working together with dedication and enthusiasm, much like beehives, to reinforce their knowledge.
The practical session included installing the drip irrigation system, agricultural mesh, mulch, and planting tomato seedlings. During the installation, the trainer asked questions about each component, such as how to maintain the network, the appropriate time to install the agricultural mesh, pre-installation agricultural operations, the duration the mesh should remain in place, the interval between irrigation operations, fertilization methods, and more.
After completing the installation, the participants conducted a network flushing and a test irrigation. All trainees attended the practical training, demonstrating their commitment and eagerness to apply their new skills
