Funded by GAVI and in partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), YFCA held a significant training workshop for field researchers on collecting qualitative data. The project, titled "Leaving No Child Behind: Enhancing Vaccination Coverage for Under-Immunized Children in Vaccine-Resistant Communities through Demand Creation Interventions," aims to increase vaccination coverage among children under five in the AlGatan and Tareem districts.
The project supports the Ministry of Public Health and Population's (MoPHP) ambition to boost vaccination rates in targeted areas. The workshop saw the participation of Dr. Jeffer Bin Obaid Allah, Director of the Immunization Office, who enriched the discussions with valuable insights.
Researchers have begun fieldwork, which will continue for five days, aiming to cover the target sample comprehensively. This initiative marks a crucial step towards improving health outcomes for children in vaccine-resistant communities.
