In a significant effort to improve access to essential health care, YFCA, in coordination with the Health Office in Ad Dali' governorate, deployed an Emergency Mobile Medical Team (EMMT) in Al Azariq district. This initiative is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office (AA) and in partnership with Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe (DKH).
The EMMT is equipped with basic medical equipment, supplies, and medicines to deliver primary health care services to internally displaced persons (IDPs), vulnerable populations, and those in need. The team also disseminates health messages and enhances health knowledge through Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials. Importantly, the team maintains gender balance and ensures that services are provided in a manner that respects social norms.
In December 2024, the mobile clinic provided services to 1,053 beneficiaries, delivering lifesaving care in distant areas according to the itinerary plan endorsed by the District Health Office.
This project is part of a broader Multi-sectoral Emergency Response aimed at supporting IDPs and other vulnerable groups in Ad Dali’ and Shabwah Governorates. The goal is to improve access to lifesaving health services in the targeted districts, in line with the Yemen Minimum Service Package (MSP).
