YFCA Provides Lifeline to Displaced Families with Water and Shelter
Thursday, 23 January, 2025

In collaboration with the Executive Unit and the General Authority for Rural Water and Sanitation Projects (GARWSP), YFCA officially handed over water points and transitional shelters to displaced families in the Al-Saadan and Al-Rakan camps. This activity, part of the project "Enhancing the Living Conditions and Disaster Resilience of Displaced Households in Marib District" and funded by Muslim Aid, marks a vital step in addressing the urgent needs of vulnerable communities affected by displacement.

A total of 430 displaced individuals, including 224 children, have benefited from this intervention. The project has provided access to essential resources such as clean drinking water and safe, transitional shelters, significantly improving the living conditions of families who have endured significant hardships. As part of the project, YFCA also activated a complaint and feedback mechanism to ensure accountability and continuous improvement, allowing beneficiaries to voice their concerns, share suggestions, and provide feedback on the services provided.

This project not only addresses immediate needs but also lays the groundwork for long-term stability and resilience within the displaced communities. It reflects the ongoing commitment of YFCA and Muslim Aid to support those most in need and ensure that no one is left behind in the pursuit of basic needs and dignified living conditions.
