YFCA Distributes Food Baskets to Thousands in Al-Mahweet Governorate
Monday, 03 February, 2025

YFCA distributed food baskets as part of the Targeted Emergency Food Assistance (TEFA) Project, funded by the World Food Program (WFP). This distribution marks the first cycle of 2025 and aims to address the urgent needs of the most vulnerable families in the region.
From January 23 to 31, 2025, YFCA provided essential food supplies to a total of 14,609 beneficiaries across two districts in Al-Mahweet Governorate. In Hufash District, 3,841 individuals received food baskets, while in Malhan District, 10,768 beneficiaries were supported. Each food basket contained 50 kg of wheat flour, 3.5 kg of legumes, and 4 liters of corn oil.
This initiative is part of YFCA’s  ongoing efforts to alleviate food insecurity and improve the living conditions of those most in need. The organization continues to work closely with local communities and international partners to ensure that aid reaches those who need it most.
The TEFA Project is one of several initiatives by YFCA aimed at addressing the humanitarian needs in Yemen, a country that has been severely affected by conflict and economic instability. Through these efforts, YFCA hopes to contribute to the overall well-being and resilience of the local population.
