In a significant effort to alleviate hunger and support vulnerable families, YFCA , under the Targeted Emergency Food Assistance (TEFA) Project funded by the World Food Program (WFP), completed the second cycle of food basket distribution for 2025.
From March 1 to 5, YFCA distributed essential food supplies to thousands of beneficiaries across several districts. In Al-Mahweet Governorate, 3,964 beneficiaries in Hufash District and 10,773 beneficiaries in Malhan District received food baskets. Similarly, in Taiz Governorate, 14,351 beneficiaries in Maqbana District, and in Ibb Governorate, 11,887 beneficiaries in Fare Al-Odien District were provided with much-needed food assistance.
Each food basket contained 50 kg of wheat flour, 3.5 kg of legumes, and 4 liters of corn oil, aimed at meeting the nutritional needs of the most vulnerable families in these regions.
This distribution is part of YFCA’s ongoing commitment to support local communities and address food insecurity in Yemen. The organization continues to work tirelessly to ensure that the most at-risk populations receive the assistance they need during these challenging times.
