Sustainable Healthcare: YFCA Installs Solar Systems in Al-Saleh and Ayoub Health Centers in Al-Dhale Gov.
Wednesday, 02 April, 2025

With funding from Dorcas, YFCA installed solar energy systems in Al-Salif and Ayoub Health Centers in Al-Dhale Governorate. This initiative has significantly improved healthcare delivery and sustainability as part of a broader project to provide essential health services to targeted communities—particularly displaced persons, vulnerable groups, and those affected by instability in the region
The introduction of solar power has restored critical services, including laboratory operations, ensuring uninterrupted care for patients. The impact has been remarkable: Ayoub Health Center reported a 17% increase in beneficiaries, while Al-Salif Health Center saw an even more substantial 35% rise in patients served
By guaranteeing a continuous electricity supply, the solar-powered systems enable medical staff to operate vital equipment and store medicines safely. This effort is part of wider initiatives to strengthen healthcare infrastructure for vulnerable populations in Yemen, where unreliable energy access frequently disrupts essential services
YFCA remains dedicated to advancing sustainable development in the region, prioritizing innovative solutions that improve lives while protecting the environment
