As part of its efforts to provide durable solutions through shelter and education interventions, YFCA, with funding from the Hilton Foundation, conducted a specialized training session for enumerators participating in the Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Views from the Frontline (VFL) Survey in Taiz Governorate.
The training aimed to equip nine enumerators—five women and four men—with the necessary skills to effectively assess disaster risks and evaluate community awareness of risk mitigation strategies. The session covered key topics, including survey methodology, accurate data collection, and culturally sensitive community engagement to foster trust and cooperation.
This initiative underscores YFCA’s commitment to community-based disaster risk reduction, aligning with its broader mission to empower vulnerable populations through participatory and informed approaches.
